898 farmers, 993 tonnes: what four seasons of fieldwork taught us

Numbers are only useful when they trace back to people. Between 2021 and 2025, Wobil served 898 smallholder rice farmers and processed 993 metric tonnes of rice across Ghana's Ashanti and Volta corridors.

That work generated roughly GHS 4.7 million in additional farmer revenue — income that would otherwise have been lost to delayed, inefficient threshing where post-harvest losses can reach 46%.

It also created 58 direct jobs in fabrication, machine operation, maintenance and community outreach, with women making up 36% of our paying customers.
